As you might know if you watch my foundation reviews on YouTube and have read a few on this blog, I very rarely fall in love with foundation. This means that most mornings I will reach for my beloved Max Factor Face Finity Foundation, or the super-quick Gosh Mineral Powder, and the rest of my stash will gather dust in my Ikea Alex Drawers. In a bid to start using up more of my unloved products, I decided to get a little creative.
My Pocket-Sized Reminder To Be More Confident
When I heard about the book It's Not How Good You Are, It's How Good You Want To Be by Paul Arden on Grace Victory's blog, I knew I was going to have to buy it. Those of you who remember my New Year's Resolution might have twigged why I would want to own a book with such a title - in short, I am trying to believe in myself this year, and a pocket-sized confidence boost looked perfect.
My Collection of Maybelline Color Tattoos
I've raved about the Maybelline Color Tattoos on more than one occasion, both over here and on my Youtube channel. They're a staple product in my collection and I use them nearly every day. You could easily wear these on their own, but I love using them as primers to make my powder eyeshadow more vibrant and long lasting. I own all of the neutral shades and some slightly more adventurous ones, too, and I now feel like I have one for every look I could possibly imagine.
Products I Want to Use Up in 2016
I don't use up a lot of makeup - I have a strange tendency to hoard products, and then they end up expiring before I've had a chance to enjoy them. This year I want to change that and hit pan on a few things! In fact, I'd quite like to do a makeup empties series on this blog. I think if I can use up more of my beauty products, maybe I can justify the ridiculous amount of new junk I buy. I've had a little rummage in my stash, and found a few things I want to use more...
My Top Three Autumn Lipsticks
As a beauty blogger, one of my favourite things about the change of season is the new makeup looks that go with it. I've been loving my coral lip stains and pink lip balms over the summer, but I'm really looking forward to being able to wear more makeup in Autumn when it's less humid and reigniting my love for my lipstick collection. In particular there are three opaque, creamy formulas that are perfect for this time of year (in almost identical shades, but slightly different enough to justify owning them all if you're a bit of a hoarder like me).
